omg omg another Border Collie by the name Molly ! Woah !

For those who dont know what a Border Collie is, it’s actually one breed of canines under working dogs category. Border collies are in fact the smartest breed among all breeds, and it’s true that since they’re smart, they can be trained very easily under proper procedures. Now that’s my girl ! She’s a cross between a Border Collie and a crossed Labrador.

She managed to housebreak in 1 month time, and got all bad behaviours fixed within 1 month too. She learn new tricks within 1o minutes, and the next thing I wanna do is to enrol her into agility stuff. Sometimes, I used my own methods to get her familiar with all those loops and holes. One day, she’s gonna get into that ring =D

So my previous post was about yesterday.

Things got a bit hard for me last night. I had to stay for another sleepless night with my ‘lovely’ notes. To make sure I stay awake and not to doze off ’suddenly’, I asked for Jinny’s favor to be with me and ‘discipline’ me haha ! Whack whack if i ever fall asleep.. and boy you did a wonderful job Jinny ! Thanks !

And so, I started one the first topic out of 3 to prepare for today’s IEB quiz. Industrial and Environmental Biotech.. Not easy.. Dreadful ? Not so too la..

I finally made it up to completion of 1st topic before I could take it further. How does one take 2 consequent sleepless nights ? That  must be a goddess then.. Gosh another 2 topics. How am i gonna finish all..

I tried my best, that was all I can say.

Quiz 1 at 2, Presentation next. Quiz was okay, presentation erm.. well, not so bad too.. and yesterday’s exam? A relieve !

Hmm. did an angel of hope just landed on me ? Well I certainly hope so =)

Yesterday after taking Fermentation exam, I straight away headed home to take a nap. Gosh I was very very tired. I slept without even a dream. Well, some say dreaming is not good…

Anyway, I took a wonderful 20 minute nap, and Jinny called to meet up at the night market in 30 minutes time. Of course, night market-ing was one of my plans to eat the night away.

The funny thing was, as I walked through half of the lane, I saw those hawkers sitting on one side of the road, as if they were waiting for the time to come to start their business. But wierd, when I went there, It was already 7, and hawker stalls normally start operating around 6. Worse, I even thought : DId DBKL came? Nah. Impossible. If they did came, these hawkers wont be sitting there.

So I continued walking thinking : Oh no, c’mon.. today’s my burfday ! I wanna eat something ! Well yes, I was hungry as you can tell. I walked further, and as usual, met up with Ailing and Jinny at CIMB bank. I realised that the other half of the road, business operated as usual… Hmm… wierd !

Anyway, i didn’t care much. FOod Food FOod ! Most Importantly !

We went to Maideen to have dinner, and met up with Yong Cheng. Yong Cheng was generous enough to give me a dinner treat. Yay !

We had a good laugh, and went off back to the night market. Gosh people were like ants ! making all through their ways to get some fresh air and some gorgeous food.. I bought some fried food and some fish balls. Boy I loved them ! Yum yum ! All those food spice up my life. No food = No life ! Haha !

Also, I got my second and third birthday gift from my darling girlfriends Ailing and Jinny.. All my favourite ! every part of the presents ! You see, I love Winnie the Pooh. Totally crazy about this bear. And guess what the gift wrapper was Winnie, and a bolster featuring Winnie the Pooh ! Next was my favourite character too, MooMooo.. A mini notebook ! Milky !

Gosh what a good year !

Oh before I forget, Soo Yan handed me the 4th Birthday gift  =D    It was a pair of nicelooking earing hehe ! I like it Soo Yan.. Thanks !

Today’s supposed to be a great day for me.. it’s my burfday and I hit 24.

People say that mornings are usually good hours, when you start your day with a fresh mind for a fresh outlook, or should I say, ponder out into this wonderful and colorful world..

Well..

Life’s not always so colorful though.. many need to wake up from day dreams. So do I.

Now back to where I ‘pondered and wished’.. Today, as I have mentioned, a day of celebration of my 24th anniversary since I was born. Today, should be happy. BUT I’m not so.. Cus there’s a speech I need to make for my ex-high school juniors regarding life on-campus. And the other one will be a paper for me to accomplish in the exam hall.

Worse, tomorrow there’s another presentation after a 1-hour quiz.

What a burfday ! I’m celebrating it with my lovely notes =(

Today I got my 1st birthday present =D

It was surprising. I was having a nap cus I didn’t really sleep last night. Thanks to exams !

And so, Ivy called up suddenly, and I answered the phone *blurly*.. She mentioned that there’s something she wanted to let me see.. So I freshened up my face then, and went out of the house.

The blur me took the wrong lift.. I was supposed to go down, but instead after waiting for so long, 1 lift door opened, and I entered without looking at the arrow direction (up or down)… So, I went ALL the way up to 28th floor.

As I finally reached the ground floor, I *blurly* walked to the guardhouse to see what’s happening. I saw Ivy opened her car door, and to my surprise, she gave me a very cute bear pillow.. Awww it’s adorable..

Well, I’ve always wanted a bear pillow, owing to my current situation that I have no pillow in bed, and also my love for Winnie the Pooh.. I’d always been looking at cute bear pillows and plushes on display in the malls. Yet I had always given myself an excuse that "Nah.. these are just luxuries".. So, I ended up clinging to my comforter at nights..

Anyway, I wanna say Thanks to Ivy, Anna, and Seow Ying for the pillow. I really like it. Wish you all have a great year !

Today Molly had been a terrificly good girl !

Firstly, she greeted me with a hug in the morning when she woke me up for her to peepee on the newspaper. Next, she poopoo on the same spot too ^^

Then, when I said byebye to her as I tied her up (as commanded by the biatch) in the kitchen and left for class, she just quietly sat down and looked at me leaving..

And, in the evening when I got back at 5, she greeted me again with another hug and kisses. Then I released her to do her business at the newspaper again. She was so happily running around the house… I mean, how can she be sad when she’s no longer a full time prisoner? Who’s gonna be happy tied up the whole day? I didnt care much. You want me to tie her up? NO WAY !

Then, after checkin out the house, she quietly lied down beside me while I do my stuff. VEry obedient indeed !

After that, I went to Giant and got her a 12 inches rawhide bone for her to chew away the boredom , and boy how happy she was ! She kept herself busy with the new bone.. largest bone she ever got =D

And then, Paul came, and Molly still kept herself busy. She didnt attack nor bark at Paul. She showed off her tricks to Paul too ! When I commanded her to SIT, she sat. When I gave out my left hand, she shaked her right front foot ; when I gave out my right hand, she shaked her left front foot… Good girl !

In fact, I let Molly into my room for a while, and Molly didnt even bother about all my things in there. She just sat there looking at me, expecting something from my hands.. haha ! of course, treats treats treats !

What a good girl ! Im so proud of her !

As I was anticipating for quite a while, today Dr Phang announced our final year project titles.

Yay ! I got my first choice for the title "Optimization of growth of oil degrader". =D

I love to work with animals and microbes, and I hated plants so much ! That’s why of all 3 titles, I have chosen to work with microorganisms. The first being oil degraders, the second being plant extraction microbes, and the third one on characteristics of oil degraders.

There were only a total of 9 research titles, 1 on pharmacological research on rats, and 3 on microorganisms, and the rest on fruits and plants. There’s none on animals other than rats.. argh why? If there is at least 1, it will be my first choice you bet !

So, 3 students work on this research title, namely Me,  Ivy, and Siang Sing. We will be working under supervisions of Dr Phang and Mr Foong (new tutor).. Well, I do hope everything will be under good condition.. Let’s work hand in hand shall we?

Arghh… next week it’s gonna be a busy week.. My test will be on next Wednesday which is my birthday (=(.. and the next day will be a quiz presentation followed by a presentation… gawd !

I woke up at 8 today remembering those sneezes attacking me since I went to bed last night (or should I say, ‘this morning’).. The wind was blowing through the night, and it was blowing hard. COngratulations buster, you gave me a running nose !

I couldn’t take it I had to drag my lazy self out from that piece of lovely comforter, and so, I ended up having half a box of tissues controling my sneezes…

Great ! I have a sore nose now…

The clock now ticks 12.11 am… Yes you are right. It’s midnight already. Some friends bugged me in Msn asking : "Not asleep yet?" Well, I have been bidding goodbye to late nights since last year, but now I gotta tell you the reason this symptom roams back…

I’m stressed out… being under pressure gives me a headache towards endless terms of disatisfaction =(

Well, I had few days to make a decision on my final year project titles, which I was supposed to make 3 choices out of 9. well out of these 9 profound vocabs, I had not the slightest idea about the meanings behind. 4 involves utilisation of PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), and others not. Right. I’m confused. So I went to consult my head of department Dr. Phang, and got some ideas.

So, as a result, I picked 2 optimization titles involving microbes, and the third one on PCR.. Frankly I never liked the idea of working with genes, as theories can make one half insane. I had not an idea what to choose for the 3rd choice, so I asked for opinions from Jinny. Finally, decision made, and I let a deep breath out of my lungs..

Just as I thought I had made the right choice, Ai Ling told me that I might just be the last person to start work compared to the rest of my classmates who work on other topics if I ever get my first choice. The consequence is, I might even delay a couple of months until I finally complete everything and end them with a viva. Well, who to be the blame ? Seniors ? Seriously, this happens because I’m continuing their work =(

Recently, me, Jinny, and Ailing were all stressed out ! But we did took some time to hang out for dinner and supper. All gave each other emotional and mental supports just when we need them.. Thanks Ailing and Jinny, my dearest friends… You both are really darlings.. Thanks for the time and the company. I really appreciate this friendship. We all learn from the past, and believe me, I know that we all know the limits, and hopefully all don’t live in history. A new level of friendship !   

Last Sunday, 14 January 2007, was K9 Day…  I brought Molly all the way to Central Park in Bandar Utama to participate in this annual canine event, following Jason’s car with his 2 JRTs, Jingles and Patches.

It was fun, which is undeniable ! =D

Well, we reached there around 8.45 am, and the venue was crowded with around 400 dogs and their owners. Not to mention, there were so many breeds of dogs I could see, whether pure or crossed. But all were tremendously excited, and there were even some Golden Retrievers swimming in the lake, and some to retrieve stuff that their masters threw   =D

I thought I saw a Weimaraner joining in the fun too !

I saw Molly ‘junior’ and Molly ’senior’ ! The senior was a great dane (I think he was around 8 months old, according to his size), and the junior was a mutt around 3 months old… Both have exactly the same patches on their ears and bodies ! Interesting ! Haha !

The best thing was, Molly met her 2 twin brothers, Ben and Scooby ! While I met their ‘parents’ lol! Ben is the son of Zen and Alex, while Scooby belongs to Samuel and Mei Luan.. All were very nice people ! And I can say, we all can belong to the perfect parent category !

Well, You know, we parent our furkids, so, we know how to take care of a small lil kid, as puppy care can equalize child care.

To those who don’t have dogs, you may never realise. TO those who have, you’ll know what I mean.

People told me I’m stupid for overly caring for my dog. But hey, you will never understand how important the friendship is. Humans betray, but a dog never will !

Besides seeing Molly’s siblings, I met many friends with their dogs too ! Oh it was a great encounter ! Looking forward to the next event and I shall enrol Molly into more competitions, may it be the fastest eating duo or the fastest recall !
